Oh My God the stupidity Okay the basic setup aliens have or less occupied Earth They aren't doing much except that every once in awhile they kidnap a human The humans either never come back or if they do come back they are completely psychotic The aliens don't talk to humans so nobody knows what's really going onSo our MC Matt gets kidnapped by the aliens He's terrified but he finds out that the aliens really don't seem to be bad guys They're just deeply stupid Despite being advanced and telepathic and all and despite having studied human cultures for centuries the aliens have somehow gotten the idea that NOT telling the human race what they're doing is somehow going to minimize fear and hysteria Ummmmmmreally????So okay Our hero survives being kidnapped yadda yadda and in this second volume he returns to human society And what does he do???? Does he go tell human governments that the aliens aren't evil??? Does he go on TV and tell people that the aliens aren't evil??? Does he friggin' write NEWSPAPER ARTICLES and tell people that aliens aren't evil????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO of COURSE not He goes right back to his old job that he was doing before he got kidnapped and then he walks around being all Shocked and Saddened because everyone thinks that the aliens are evill And how about the press? This guy is the ONLY human to EVER return safe and sane after being kidnapped by the aliens And he's walking around in public grocery stores and hospitals and such arm in arm with one of the Evil Aliens You know the aliens who never talk to or interact with humans Except for this one guy So is the press pounding at his door?? NOOOOOOO Are there news vans parked outside his home?? NOPE Are government sedans waiting to take him to meetings with the president?? UH UH The guy is invisible Or boring Or somethingARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGG This is one of the times when I REALLY wish I had a paper copy of a book so I could throw it against the wall and then stomp on it several times and then tear it into tiny shredsAnd it's a shame too I've enjoyed Conwy's BDSM books and these Himiko books are written with the same engaging skill But the ILLOGIC running rampant throughout both books just makes me tear my hair out In case you couldn't tell

Author CB Conwy keeps the tension high in this great seuel to Himiko Bonding The story starts just after the last book ends Matt and Pietr are travelling back to Matt's apartment to live amongst the normal human population But sentiment has worsened since Matt was recruited and they are subject to much anger fear and a sense of betrayal from Matt's human friends and his workplace At the same time Matt is learning about his powers and uncovering secrets that have been kept from him Most seriously by his mate Peter which threatens to destroy their love I really enjoyed this seuel There is plenty happening plot wise The sinister Assessor makes his presence known and the final 'showdown' is very satisfying This book concentrates on bringing the HumanHimiko conflict to a head but always underlying the action is the very emotional bond and love between our two MC's You should definitely read the first book in the series before this one Highly recommended for mm scifi romance fans

This is book two of a the story and you need to have read book one Bonding before you read this one It begins right where the first one endedAs I said in the other review I loved this book The alien culture detail was fascinating and consistent To me this felt a bit like mixing aspects of Star Wars Star Trek and the Sword of Truth But never fear It is not overly busy it just uses aspects either subtly or humorouslyThat is another aspect of this series humor I love a book that can make me laugh and cry often at the same time Another facet that I adore is the unexpected gift of a character We find in Matt a man who must rise to the occasion and be the man he was meant to beThis is the first time that I have read the author and I must say that I will try others As my caveat in my previous review the book is on the explicit range of erotica It did not bother me but if you are sensitive to that type of content you might not care for itOtherwise I loved it

35This seuel gave me insight to the world of the HimikoI was also glad to see that even being 'bonded' Matt and Pietr could fightdisagree and their relationship developed because of itThis is mostly the story about Matt developing his powers with the help of a few Himiko warriors and then a showdown with the evil accessor

45 stars Love this series I'm hoping the author continues to write about this couple because the ending was pretty open about what could happen next CB Conwy is definitely on my auto buy list of authors

Sometimes I don't mind that I have insomnia and I can spend the night just reading great stories like this one Wonderful seuel

A thrilling conclusion to the Himiko duologyThis book shares the poor writing and great world building and sex of the first book I loved the characters and wish the author had done to explore their uniue relationshipsCan there be some sort of four way grouping between Aki Robbie Pietr and Matt? What's going to happen between Sam and Jerry? I don't think there's really a need for another book for the story I just would like to explore the relationships Nevertheless I loved them They sometimes seemed a bit one dimensional but they were fun and I don't expect perfection

Just as entertaining as the first book Himiko Bonding This one has story whereas the first book was on the bonding Both are just very entertaining and HOT

Well written; a good follow up to the first book I would've loved to read another novel after this one but the ending is satisfying by itself not a cliffhanger Would re read would recommend The main character spends a lot of time training and uickly learns new skills; the impression is kind of like learning a new sword trick in a video game The Assessor's evilness isn't foreshadowed very much; the conflict with him feels a bit abrupt The hate crime committed against the main character isn't discussed too much after a few chapters; I would have liked to see of the impact on him and any plans he has to live alongside human society at the end of the novel

35 starsI like the series; is there going to be a #3 to see how things settle?Matt was recruited in the first story to test his sensitivity The Himika are not allowed to speak to humans it doesn't explain why not they can they just aren't supposed to so they need to be able to find humans with the mental capabilities to use their minds to communicateDuring the initial recruitment Matt is bonded to a Himika Pietr; they both have to learn to get through the initial mating bonds This story tells the increasing strength of Matt's powers and the training needed to help him bring both the Himika and the humans to a mutual understanding
