Literary cookbooks are all over the map uality wise but this one is a hit The source material encourages imaginative interpretation and Fisher deftly interweaves long passages of text with clever and old fashioned recipes and a sense of Carrollian humor Many of the recipes are a bit dated at this point but still fun to peruse and plenty sound delicious
