The Larousse Book of Bread: 80 Recipes to Make at Home This is one of the best bread books I ve read so far, and I m seriously considering buying it even though I own way too many books The instructions are always perfectly articulated, and the step by step photos are great too There are so many different and inventive kinds of breads in the book I made the matcha orange, and it was awesome that it would keep you busy for awhile Also nb, the recipes all call for fresh yeast but there is a note in the beginning stating that you can just use hal This is one of the best bread books I ve read so far, and I m seriously considering buying it even though I own way too many books The instructions are always perfectly articulated, and the step by step photos are great too There are so many different and inventive kinds of breads in the book I made the matcha orange, and it was awesome that it would keep you busy for awhile Also nb, the recipes all call for fresh yeast but there is a note in the beginning stating that you can just use half the amount of instant yeast if you have to, which I did without any noticeable consequences If you bake bread often enough to maintain a sourdough starter, this is the book for you If not, it has lots of pretty pictures that inspire you to try to find other versions of these breads to make when you re cooped up on a rainy Saturday but definitely didn t have the foresight to make a starter.
